{"id":1161,"date":"2015-06-08T12:05:31","date_gmt":"2015-06-08T16:05:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pentecostalmusicians.com\/PMblog\/?p=1161"},"modified":"2015-06-08T12:05:31","modified_gmt":"2015-06-08T16:05:31","slug":"whats-in-your-freezer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pentecostalmusicians.com\/PMblog\/?p=1161","title":{"rendered":"What&#8217;s in Your Freezer???"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ok!\u00a0 So you don\u2019t see what that has to do with music at all!\u00a0 Well, allow me to explain!!!<\/p>\n<p>The past several years, my husband, Mark has had a box garden\u20144 boxes in our backyard in which he grows lettuce, peppers, onions, green beans, cucumbers for pickles.\u00a0 Believe it or not, these small little boxes produce so much that we\u2019ve been able to fill our freezer and pantry!<\/p>\n<p>We were able to chop up and freeze\u00a0enough peppers to see us through fall and winter and still have plenty left.\u00a0 We also chopped onions and\u00a0put them\u00a0in small freezer bags ready\u00a0for use at a moment\u2019s notice.\u00a0 Even though we didn\u2019t grow celery, I thought it might be handy to have frozen celery at my fingertips whenever I make a casserole.\u00a0 So whenever I need pepper, onions or celery, I just reach into my freezer and these ingredients are available at a moment\u2019s notice.<\/p>\n<p>Was all that chopping and bagging fun?\u00a0 <em>Not really<\/em>.\u00a0 When we were getting the onions ready, the tears just ran down my face as I breathed in the fumes.\u00a0 When we were chopping the peppers\u2014especially the hotter ones, every time I took a breath it felt like my nostrils were on fire.\u00a0 <em>No&#8211;not fun at all!!!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>But now that I have these little freezer bags filled with these essential ingredients, it is certainly a blessings to be able to just reach into the freezer and grab a bag without having to worry about prepping while I\u2019m preparing my meal.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">How\u00a0Is That\u00a0Related to Music??<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Now relating to music&#8212;consider the time you spend \u201cprepping\u201d as the time you are learning scales, learning to read notes, new chords, chord progressions and fills.\u00a0 Yes, it\u2019s not that much fun and the tears may flow and your brain may feel like it\u2019s on fire.\u00a0 Oh but when you have taken the time to \u201cpre-prep\u201d it is such a blessing to be able to reach into the \u201cfreezer\u201d or \u201cpantry\u201d of your brain and pull out those chords and progressions\u2014all ready to use\u2014instead of having to stop and do your \u201cprep\u201d work when you want to play the song!!!<\/p>\n<p><em>Just a thought!!!!\u00a0 Come on\u2014get busy and start your \u201cprep\u201d work now!!!!\u00a0 You\u2019ll be glad you did!<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ok!\u00a0 So you don\u2019t see what that has to do with music at all!\u00a0 Well, allow me to explain!!!
